Brazil during Carnaval is something you MUST experience at least once in your life. It’s a vibrant, week-long celebration of music, dance, elaborate costumes, street parties, and samba parades that takes over cities across Brazil each year. The way the entire city of Rio comes alive in celebration - there’s truly nothing else like this party in the world.
People fall in love with Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval because it reminds you how to be present, expressive, spontaneous, and fully alive. For these few unforgettable days, the city transforms into one giant celebration filled with color, connection, music, and joy.
We’ll spend our time fully immersed in Rio de Janeiro for the heart of Carnaval. Think bloco street parties, samba dancing, live music nights, beach days, ocean swims, shopping trips, late dinners, rooftop views, and partying until sunrise (or after). The city is vibrant, social, chaotic in the best way, and impossible not to love.
This trip is about celebrating life with an amazing group of people in one of the most electric places on earth. Expect movement, connection, colorful outfits, adventure, and memories you’ll be talking about for years after. This is a co-ed trip and you’re officially invited to experience this bucket-list celebration with us!

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1: February 3 — Welcome Dinner in Rio de Janeiro
Arrive and settle into our hotel rooms as the group comes together. Tonight we kick things off with an included welcome dinner, getting to know each other before the magic of Carnaval begins with the option to head out and catch a taste of Rio’s nightlife if you’re not ready to call it a night.
Day 2: February 4 — Costume Shopping & Samba Lesson
No Carnaval look is complete without the right costume, and today we go find it! We will browse with local friends who know exactly where to shop for the best feathers, sequins, and colorful costumes you can imagine. In the evening, we’ll learn to move like the locals with a group samba dance lesson, getting our hips ready for the days ahead!
Day 3: February 5 — Christ the Redeemer
We start the day visiting Christ the Redeemer, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, taking in sweeping views over Rio and getting tons of cute photos while there. We ride a cable car there and back, spending approximately 2 hours total during this excursion. The rest of the day is yours to relax, go to the beach, treat yourself to a massage, or shop for souvenirs. In the evening, we’ll come back together for an optional group dinner and any activities that pop up to attend on the streets of the city.
Day 4: February 6 — Free Day, Hike & Favela
A free day to move at your own pace. For those wanting an adventure, we’ll organize an optional hike to Dois Irmãos for unbeatable sunset views over the coastline and jungle as well as a trip to the favela nearby. As the sun goes down, the streets come alive so we might end up dancing through Rio’s neighborhoods with thousands of other revelers.
Day 5: February 7 — Sambódromo Parade
Today is the day Rio has been building toward all year! We’ll experience the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí together - complete with elaborate floats, the thunderous drumlines, gorgeous samba dancers, and the once-in-a-lifetime spectacle that makes Carnaval in Rio unlike anywhere else on earth.
Day 6: February 8 — Beach Day & Blocos
Sleep in - you’ve earned it. The day is free to explore Copacabana Beach, shop for last-minute souvenirs, or simply relax before our final night of blocos takes over the city one more time.
Day 7: February 9 — Departure Home or Extended Beach Package
Depart from Rio de Janeiro, or extend your stay if you’re not ready for the magic to end. We’ll organize an optional beach/island package for 3-4 days if you’d like to join, simply let us know when booking and we will send the information to you as soon as we have it finalized!

Hey, I’m Maria, founder of Wild World Tours! I want to take you all to one of my favorite countries because Brazilian people really give you a blueprint for how to live your life more simply, but also more fully. They don’t really get upset, they mind their business and just soak in the good vibes. I was honored to be a witness and to change for the better into my very own “versao Brasiliera.”
It took me some courage to travel to Brazil, it just felt so huge and hard to plan, so I put it off for years. I’m SO glad I got the drive to visit tin 2025 and spent 2 months to discover my new favorite country in the world. Now, I’m collaborating with local friends on all-women’s retreats that show you why Brazil must be one of your “must visit” travel destinations.
I can’t wait to party in Rio, one of the world’s most vibrant cities, during Carnaval with all of you! This is going to be such a special trip.

My name is Nicole Hu with Hutravelstheworld! I have hosted over 30 group trips and I found this passion after I quit my job to backpack Latin America for 8 months and I started posting and growing on social media. People kept asking to travel with me so I decided to host my first group trip to Pakistan and then Egypt and I loved meeting solo traveler friends and learning about new cultures so much, I decided to keep going with it.
I love to focus on history and culture while having fun in a country. I can't wait to travel with you all - new and old travel friends. Let’s have a blast for Carnaval while getting to really know the roots and stories of Brazilians while celebrating in the streets of Rio de Janeiro together!
