Let’s go to Egypt
November 13 - 20, 2026
8 days Uncovering Ancient Egypt’s Secrets
Egypt is electric. It hits you all at once when you step off the plane - the scale of it, the age of it, the noise and color and heat and history reminding you of how small we are and how vast the reach of humanity was throughout ancient times before us.
This is an 8-day discovery through three of its most legendary cities: Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor. We want to show you what makes Egypt unique, traveling with just a small crew of curious travelers, expert Egyptologists who makes 3,000-year-old stories feel alive, and an itinerary we’ve handcrafted to go deeper than the surface. On this discovery tour, we’re packing in a lot of value into the time we share together so you can maximize your days off of work and see as many highlights while we’re together as possible without feeling rushed.
We're talking rooftop dinners overlooking the Giza plateau, felucca boat sailing at golden hour on the Nile, a sunrise drive into the desert to reach Abu Simbel before the crowds, and evenings wandering illuminated ancient streets while traditional Sufi dancers perform nearby.
From the beautiful chaos walking through Khan El Khalili market to the quiet awe of the Valley of the Kings, this trip is for those who want to actually feel Egypt, not just photograph it.
Join us for a spiritual journey crossing into the age of the pharaohs.

Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: (Nov. 13) Arrival day in Cairo begins with airport pickups and a transfer to the hotel, where everyone can settle in and rest after their journey. In the evening, we wander through the vibrant Khan El Khalili Market and El Moez Street, surrounded by lanterns, spices, music, and historic mosques. The night ends with a traditional Sufi performance and our welcome dinner in the heart of Old Cairo as we get our first taste of Egyptian food.
Day 2: (Nov. 14) Today we visit the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, walking across the desert and having a photoshoot, with your individual digital photos delivered after the tour! We’ll explore different viewpoints, and learn the stories behind these remarkable monuments with our Egyptologist guide. We’ll have a bit of free time before ending the evening with dinner overlooking the illuminated Pyramids, soaking in one of the most iconic views in the world.
Day 3: (Nov. 15) We begin the day with an optional group stretch and breathwork. Then it’s off to explore the incredible Grand Egyptian Museum alongside a professional Egyptologist guide, discovering ancient treasures, statues, and beautifully preserved artifacts from one of the world’s oldest civilizations, then we enjoy lunch at the museum. We checked out of our Cairo hotel, and together transfer to our sleeper train journey to Aswan.
Day 4: (Nov. 16) Today we experience peacefulNile river scenery and warm Nubian culture. The day begins with a boat ride across the Nile to visit the stunning Philae Temple, beautifully located on an island surrounded by calm water. After exploring the temple and hearing its stories, we enjoy lunch before boarding a traditional felucca sailboat for a gentle ride: we end the evening relaxing with sunset tea on the terrace of the Old Cataract Hotel with panoramic Nile river views, then we end the night at dinner together.
Day 5: (Nov. 17) Before sunrise, we depart for Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most breathtaking and remote temple complexes. Carved into the mountainside by Ramses II, these massive temples are even more impressive in person. We’ll enjoy lunch at the Eskaleh Eco Lodge and then we return toward Aswan for a slower afternoon on the Nile. You can opt into kayaking near a Nubian island, taking in the peaceful scenery and colorful riverside villages. We’ll lead an optional group stretch and reflection before a delicious group dinner at our guesthouse hotel.
Day 6: (Nov. 18) This morning we board a first-class seated train to Luxor, an absolute can’t-miss destination in Egypt. Upon arrival, we check in to our 5-star hotel, then we head to the magnificent Karnak Temple, walking through towering columns and massive ancient structures that reveal the scale of Egypt’s former empire. After a tasty lunch, we continue to Luxor Temple along the Nile, soaking in the beauty of its statues and courtyards as the city begins to glow at sunset. After dinner, the evening is yours to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Luxor, or the pool or activities at the hotel.
Day 7: (Nov. 19) You have the option to start the day on a hot air balloon ride above the beautiful landscape in Luxor. Then, we explore Luxor’s legendary West Bank, beginning with the Valley of the Kings, where ancient pharaohs were buried deep inside richly decorated tombs hidden within the desert cliffs. We continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most elegant architectural masterpieces, before visiting the Colossi of Memnon and the impressive mortuary temple of Ramses III at Habu City. Between sites, we pause for lunch and time to take in the peaceful desert landscape surrounding the Nile. In the evening, we gather for a final dinner together overlooking the river.
Day 8: (Nov. 20) On our final morning in Egypt, we enjoy a slow breakfast and group stretch before flying back to Cairo. There’s time for last moments together, reflecting on the journey through ancient temples, bustling markets, desert landscapes, and life along the Nile. Departures will take place throughout the day, or you can choose to extend your stay and continue exploring more of the magic of Egypt. Inquire with us about add-on desert adventures or other Egypt destinations.
Meet Your Trip Guide: Maria
This is going to be a trip for the books! Maria and I work well together, and tackled Dia de Muertos for the Wild World Tour in Oaxaca this past fall. With her photography experience, we’ll be able to document this beautiful discovery trip to Egypt and get all the photos you’ll want to hang on your mantle of you by the pyramids, and much more.
Of course, none of my tours are programmed just for photos - I want you to really walk away with a knowledge of the culture we’re visiting. We will travel with locals to ancient sites, learning as much as we can in our week together while also really soaking in the vibes of this incredible country. With traditional dance performances, home-cooked meals, boat rides down the Nile, and amazing 4 and 5-star hotel accommodations with pools to relax by, we’ll get a blend of excitement and relaxation this trip.
I hope you’ll join me for my first time in Egypt with our incredible local guides!
Meet Your Trip Guide: Maria L.
When I first set foot in Cairo last year, I knew it’d be a place I’d come back to many times. The bustle of Cairo, the blend of cultural and religious history is an allure like no other. I suggested to Maria (a long time college friend of mine) that we co-host a tour together with local guides I met.
I am an experienced travel and documentary photographer, freelance startup consultant, and yoga guide. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries, and hopping on a plane to experience a new place is a feeling I hope never gets old. I bring a calm & centered energy to the group dynamic but I’ll always send it on the adrenaline excursion options.
You’ll catch me drinking black tea all day and collecting little trinkets from the places we visit. I like depth and reflection as I feel that when I travel I’m there to discover something new within me through the places and the people I interact with along the way.
